Commercial Compliance The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, (MoCAFPD) on August 30, 2023, published the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules, 2011

This shall come into force on August 30, 2023

The following has been amended namely: -

• In rule 1 which states “Short title and commencement”, in sub-rule (2), for the figures, letters, and words “1st day of September 2023”, the figures, letters, and words “1st day of October 2023”
