The Government of Kerala on September 07, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Operation Foscos drive to ensure food safety.

The following has been stated namely: -

• As a part of bringing all the food entrepreneurs under the purview of the food safety licenses The Food Safety Department will conduct a statewide Operation Foscos license drive on September 15

• The fee for regular licenses is ₹2,000 for one year.

• Those who run shops with employees must obtain a license.

• Actions will be taken against those operating with only registration instead of a license.
