Commercial ComplianceThe Ministry of Heavy Industries (MoHI) on September 06, 2023, issued the notification regarding Testing parameters to enhance the Human Safety of Electric Vehicles, incentivized under (i) Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme for Automobiles and auto Components (ii) Fame II scheme of Ministry of Heavy Industries (MHI).

The following has been stated namely: -

• The following has been made mandatory from October 01, 2023, for claiming incentives/payouts under the PLI Scheme for Automobile and Auto Components and Fame II scheme:

“EV safety and battery safety compliance requirements have already been made stringent vide amendment 3 to AIS 156 and AIS 038 Rev2 standards notified under CMVR by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). Therefore, the above compliance is adequate and to be followed.”
