The Government of Maharashtra on September 08, 2023, notified the Draft Maharashtra State Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2023 under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
The following has been stated: -
•Rule 2 gives various definitions like MDC Home and others.
•Rule 3 talks about the formation of the Maharashtra State Committee for Research on Disability.
•All the persons likely to be affected can submit their objections before the expiry of a period of 30 days from the date of publication of this notification.
They shall come into force on the date of its publication in Maharashtra.
