The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on September 15, 2023, issued a notification regarding the amendment to notification no.63/1994-Customs (N.T.) dated November 21, 1994, related to Land Customs Stations and Routes for the import and export of goods by land or inland waterways
The following has been amended namely: -
• In the said notification, in the Table, against serial number 2 relating to the land frontier of Bangladesh, in column (3) after the item (64) and corresponding entries thereto in column (4) in the following columns (3) and (4) the following entries shall be substituted, namely: -
(3) “(64) Maia in Murshidabad, district, West Bengal”
(4) the river route as per protocol on inland water transit and trade between India and Bangladesh connecting Maia in India and Bangladesh”
