Industry Specific ComplianceThe National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on September 15, 2023, fixed the price of certain drugs.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The price is fixed as the retail price, exclusive of Goods and Services Tax, if any, in relation to the specified.

• The table with the Name of the Formulation/Brand Name, Strength, Unit, Manufacturer and Marketing Company, and Retail Price has been stated. A few of the Brands are:

a. Rosuvastatin & Clopidogrel Capsule

b. Diclofenac Diethylamine, Methyl Salicylate and Menthol Gel

c. Linagliptin and Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets

d. Linagliptin + Metformin Hydrochloride (ER)

• The manufacturer may add Goods and Services Tax only if they have paid actually or it is payable to the Government on the retail price

• Every retailer and dealer shall display the price list and the supplementary price list, if any, as furnished by the manufacturer, on a conspicuous part of the premises where he carries on business in a manner so as to be easily accessible to any person wishing to consult the same.
