The Government of Kerala on September 06, 2023, revised the minimum wages for the employees employed in the Electronic Equipments, Home appliance, and operation of the Software System Industry sector.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The basic monthly wages have been stated namely: -
1. Highly skilled worker – 18000/-
2. Skilled Worker – 16,460/-
3. Semiskilled Worker – 15,720/-
4. Unskilled Worker – 15,000/-
• Dearness Allowance –
All categories of employees shall be eligible for Dearness Allowance calculated on the basis of the Consumer Price Index published each month for the concerned District Headquarters by the Department of Economics and Statistics for the increase in every point above 165 points in new series, ie. 2011-12=100 at the rate of ` 60 (Rupees Sixty only).
• Further, it was stated:
1. In case the employees are getting higher wages than the minimum wages fixed as per this notification, they shall be entitled to get such higher rates.
2. In case any post or category of an establishment is not included in the schedule above, they shall be eligible for the basic wages prescribed for the equivalent post/category.
3. Daily wages of the monthly paid employees included in the schedule above shall be calculated by dividing the total monthly wages by 26 and the monthly wages of the daily waged employees shall be calculated by multiplying the total daily wages by 26.
