The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) on September 22, 2023, issued a notification regarding the applicability of Conformity of Production (COP) for CPCB II extended manufacturing.
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) notified the revised emission limits for new engines used for power generating set (Genset) up to 800kW Gross Mechanical Power vide notification - GSR 804 (E) dated November 03, 2022.
It is hereby informed that Conformity of Production (COP) shall be conducted/renewed by the manufacturers/importers/suppliers for those type approved genset/genset engine models that will be availing the benefits of GSR 436(E), dated June 14, 2023 and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) OM, dated June 22, 2023, by following the relevant System & Procedures for conducting Conformity of Production (COP) test, which will be valid up to June 30, 2024.
