The Government of Chhattisgarh on October 04, 2023, issued the Draft Rules Regarding Petition-Writers, 2023.
The following provisions are as stated:
• The number of licenses to be granted under these rules shall be in accordance with the scale fixed by the Licensing Authority from time to time. No licences shall be granted more than the scale so fixed.
• If a license is lost, destroyed, defaced, torn, or becomes illegible, the licensee shall forthwith apply to the Licensing Authority for a copy of the license.
• Every petition-writer shall maintain a register of petition-writers in Form-4 and shall enter therein every petition written by him, and shall produce the register for the inspection of any Revenue Officer when required to do so.
• Every petition writer shall affix his seal on every petition written by him and shall enter on such petition the number which it bears in his register and the fee which has been charged for writing it. He shall also endorse on the left-hand corner of the petition the proper court fee chargeable on it.
All persons are likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft shall be taken into consideration after the expiry of 15 days from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
Any objection or suggestions regarding the said draft received from any person before the specified period, during office hours in the office of the Secretary, Government of Chhattisgarh, Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Mantralaya, Room number S 2-3, Mahanadi Bhawan, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, District Raipur before the expiry of the said period, shall be taken into consideration.
