The Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India (IRDAI) on October 09, 2023, issued a notification regarding the amendment to the Circular regarding the Procedure for Implementation of Section 12A of ‘The Weapons of Mass Destruction and their Delivery Systems (Prohibition of Unlawful Activities) Act, 2005
This has a reference to the IRDAI circular ref. IRDAI/IID/CIR/MISC/86/4/2023 dated April 19, 2023, on the captioned subject specifying the procedure for implementation of Section 12A of The WMD Act, was provided as Annexure I.
The following has been amended namely: -
• It states that the Department of Revenue has revised the order ref. F. No- 12011/14/2022-ES Cell- DoR dated September 01, 2023, and has superseded the order dated January 30, 2023.
• It further states that the circular stands modified as under namely: -
(i) Clause 2 of the circular stands substituted as under:
In order to ensure expeditious and effective implementation of the provisions of section 12A of the WMD Act, the Department of Revenue specified the procedure for implementation of the within-referred provisions vide Order F. No. P12011/14/2022-ES Cell-DoR dated September 01, 2023.
(ii) Clause 3 of the circular has been substituted and has been attached as Annexure-1
