The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on October 10, 2023, issued the FAQs on NBFC-Infrastructure Finance Companies
The following questions have been answered namely: -
• What is an NBFC-Infrastructure Finance Company (NBFC-IFC)?
• What are the exposure limits for NBFC-IFCs?
• What is the prescribed risk weight for calculating the regulatory capital corresponding to the assets covering public-private partnership (PPP) and post-commercial operations date (COD) infrastructure projects in existence over a year of commercial operations?
• Can NBFC-IFCs lend to/ invest in infrastructure investment trusts (InvITs) and other trust funds?
