Finance & Taxation Compliance The Government of Meghalaya on September 22, 2023, issued a notification regarding the modification and revision of the rate of tax on Goods.

The following has been stated: -

•For diesel and other internal combustion oils rate of tax is 5 % or Rs 7 per litre whichever is higher.

•For motor spirit the rate of tax is 13.5% or Rs 13.50 per litre whichever is higher.

The rate of tax and pollution surcharge as indicated below will come into force with effect from September 23, 2023.
