The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on October 06, 2023, issued the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Tenth Amendment) Order, 2023 to further amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
The following amendments are as stated:
• Amendments to Schedule VI:
A) The following serial number “789” and entries as specified in the table have been inserted.
B) Against serial number 359, the existing entry in column 2 will be numbered as (i), and the following entries relating to columns (2), (3), (4), (5), and (6) as specified in the table have been inserted.
C) Against serial number 461, relating to Diospyros kaki (Persimmon) in column (3) against entry (iii) regarding Fresh fruits for consumption, in column (4) against item (i) ‘Spain' and entries relating thereto, the existing entries in column (6) as specified in the table has been substituted.
D) Against serial number 714, relating to “Arundo donax” and column (3) against the entry “Tissue culture plants”, the following entries relating thereto in columns (4), (5), and (6), as specified in the table has been inserted.
This notification will come into force from October 06, 2023.
