The Government of Himachal Pradesh on October 07, 2023, issued a notification to fix the maximum margin of profit on certain commodities
The following has been stated namely: -
• The profit on commodities listed in schedule-l appended to the order has been fixed, which dealers in Bilaspur District can charge on wholesale and retail sale transactions.
A. The following shall not be applicable to fruits and vegetables. as all incidental charges have already been included in their retail margin of profit.
• The element of expenditure, incurred/actually paid by a dealer to be taken into account for computing the landed cost of the commodities listed, may be allowed over and above the margin of profit calculated as per instructions.
• No shortage will however be allowed in the case of H.V.Oil sold in packs up to 5kgs. In the case of Gur, Shakkar, and Khandsair shortages of up to 2% may be allowed.
B. The following shall be applicable to fruits and vegetables.
• No Wholesaler or retailer shall charge more than the margin of profit as fixed above.
• Every Commission Agent/Wholesaler in Vegetable Market shall issue Form R to every farmer/grower at the time of purchase of fruits and vegetable form them and retain its one copy with him/her.
