The Government of Madhya Pradesh on October 11, 2023, issued a notification to revise the Minimum wages.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The employment serial numbers 16 to 67 were not published in the draft notification. The following industries have been issued as a correction of error.
1. A Cement Pole or cement planning in manufactured production
2. Any Plastic Private in Industry
3. KC Brick Kilns Planning
4. Any Power loom in which sizing and processing involved in planning
5. In the case of construction work planning
The following draft revised minimum wages have been issued, with objections and suggestions to be sent in within 2 months.
• The following Industries have been stated namely: -
1. Employment in Automobile workshops and garages operated for repair
2. Employment in Bakery
3. Employment in Cold Storage
4. Any Shop and Commercial Planning Establishment
5. Employment in Hotel or Restaurant
Furthermore, the following has been stated namely: -
• The wage rates shown in the Schedule are based on the average of the base data of All India Consumer Price Index 311 (2001=100) for Industrial Workers prepared by the Labor Bureau, Shimla from January 2019 to June 2019.
• The increase in the pay rates in the schedule will be in the same proportion as the average increase every 6 months after the index.
• On April 01 or October 01, as the case may be, the increase will be made at the rate of Rs 25/- per month per point and column This increase in the rates will be considered as variable dearness allowance.
• The increase in Variable Dearness Allowance payable from April 01 will be calculated on the basis of the average index of six months from last July to December. Similarly, the increase in Variable Dearness Allowance payable from October 01 will be calculated on the average index of six months from last January to June.
• The monthly salary prescribed by this notification will be payable at the end of the calendar month. If an employee has taken advantage of all the holiday days of the relevant calendar month as per the Act and the rules made thereunder and if one day's salary is to be calculated in any context, then the monthly salary determined as above will be calculated by dividing it by 26.
