Labour ComplianceThe Government of Tamil Nadu on March 23, 2023, stated that the apprentice engaged under certified standing orders were not employees for the purpose of contribution under the ESI Act.

This was held by the Hon’ble High Court in the case of ‘Joint Director vs Sundaram Textiles Limited’
