The Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board (MSPCB) on September 26, 2023, issued the notification regarding the Online Portal Development by CPCB under Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Producers, Recyclers, and Refurbishers of Batteries shall have to register through the online centralized portal developed by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
• Recyclers and Refurbishers shall also have to register with the concerned SPCB/PCC on this centralized portal developed by CPCB.
• In view of the above, CPCB has developed an online portal for the registration of Producers. The Producers are required to submit the application for registration under Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022 at said Portal.
