The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) on October 18, 2023, issued the date on which the provisions related to the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 under the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023, shall come into force.
It has appointed April 01, 2024, as the date on which the provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023, which relates to serial number 21 and the entries thereto in the Schedule of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023, relating to the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), shall come into force.
