The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on October 17, 2023, issued the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Eleventh Amendment) Order, 2023 to further amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In Schedule VI, against serial no 267 relating to Psidium guajava (Guava) and entries in column (3) fresh fruit for consumption, the existing entries in column (4) shall be numbered as (i) thereof and after, the following entries in column (4), (5) and (6) has been inserted.
• Against serial no 479 relating to Litchi chinensis (Litchi) the existing entries in column (3) shall be numbered as (i) thereof and after, the following entries in columns (3), (4), (5) and (6) has been inserted.
• Against serial no 504 relating to Prunus persica (Peach) and the entries in column (3) fresh fruit for consumption, the existing entries in column (4) shall be numbered as (i) thereof and after, the following entries in column (4), (5) and (6) has been inserted.
It shall come into force from October 17, 2023.
