The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) on October 18, 2023, notified the Draft Environment (Protection) Amendment Rules, 2023.
The amendment states the following namely: -
•In the Environment (Protection) Rules, 1986, in Schedule-l,
(i)At serial number 40 entries relating to Pesticide Industry shall be substituted.
•Any person interested in making any objections or suggestions on the proposals contained in the draft notification may forward the same in writing, for consideration to the Central Government within the period of sixty days from the date on which copies of the Gazette containing this notification are made available to the public.
They shall come into force on expiry of one year from October 18, 2023.
