The Government of Maharashtra on October 19, 2023, amended an older notification No. VAT 1511/C.R.57/Taxation-1, dated April 30, 2011, related to the exemption of tax payable by the dealers on their sales of liquor.
The amendment is as follows: -
•In Schedule I, appended to the said notification, in entry at Sr. No. 5, in column (4),
(i) For the words “five percent.” the words “ten percent.” shall be substituted.
(ii) for the words “Five percent.” the words “Ten percent.” shall be substituted.
This shall come into force from November 01, 2023.
