The Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) on October 20, 2023, issued a notification regarding the import of high-pressure gas cylinders
The following has been stated namely: -
• This has a reference to the PIB Press release dated May 15, 2021, related to the validity of the import of cylinders during the pandemic was valid up to June 30, 2022, and therefore, such exemptions are no longer applicable.
• It states that the applications received for the import of Gas Cylinders after the above-mentioned date are being considered for grant of import licenses by PESO in compliance with the provisions of the Gas Cylinders Rules, 2016
