The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution (MoCAF&PD) on October 20, 2023, issued the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses (Second Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Warehousing (Development and Regulation) Registration of Warehouses Rules, 2017.
The following amendment has been stated:
• In rule 5, which states “Fees for application” for the proviso, the following proviso has been substituted, namely:
“Provided that till October 25, 2025, no applicant shall be liable to pay the application fee for registration or renewal of warehouses storing only agricultural goods.”
This notification will come into force from October 20, 2023.
