The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on October 23, 2023, notified Guidelines in pursuance of amendment to SEBI KYC (Know Your Client) Registration Agency (KRA) Regulations, 2011.
Following the previous circulars, clients whose Know Your Customer (KYC) information is not validated by KYC Registration Agencies (KRAs) for Permanent Account Numbers (PANs) submitted until August 31, 2023, will face certain restrictions. Starting from November 18, 2023, these clients will not be allowed to trade on the Exchange, nor will they be able to close their existing positions until they meet the specified requirements. Open positions will naturally expire on the expiry date of the respective contracts.
In light of this, the Exchange will mark non-compliant PANs provided by KRAs as "Not permitted to trade" effective from November 18, 2023. It's essential to note that after this date, these PANs will be prohibited from trading and will not have the opportunity to square off any open positions they may have. PANs that become KRA compliant subsequently will regain trading privileges on the next trading day (T+1), based on information received from the KRA by the Exchange on the trading day (T Day).
You can access the list of PANs with Aadhaar as an Officially Valid Document and which are KRA non-compliant for PANs submitted up to August 31, 2023, at the location mentioned in the
