The Government of Haryana on October 23, 2023, notified the Haryana Municipal (Amendment) Act, 2023 to amend the Haryana Municipal Act, 1973.
The following has been amended: -
•Section 10 of the act which talks about the Reservation of seats has been amended.
•Section 203 which talks about the Building scheme has been amended.
•The Haryana Municipal (Amendment) Ordinance, 2023 is repealed. Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under this Act.
