The Government of Andhra Pradesh on October 25, 2023, issued the Andhra Pradesh Motor Vehicle Rules 1989.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In Rule 27, which states “Intimation of renewal”:
1. After clause 4(f) in Rule 27B, the following clauses shall be added, namely:
"(4)(g) The driving school or Establishment shall develop its portal for online application for driving Training, fee payment, and booking of training slots.
(4)(h) The driving school or Establishment shall have a Biometric attendance facility for drivers attending the refresher training and Instructors imparting the training."
2. For sub-rule (9) of Rule 27 B, the following shall be substituted, namely:
"(9) Drivers shall pay the driving school fee as prescribed by the Transport Commissioner from time to time and no driving school shall collect fee more than what is prescribed by the Transport Commissioner".
