The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on October 25, 2023, issued the notification regarding the new Sub-Category level Nifty AIF Benchmarks.
The following has been stated namely: -
• NSE Indices launched five new sub–category level benchmarks namely: -
A. Category I:
1. Social Venture Fund
2. Infrastructure Fund
3. SME Fund
B. Category II
1. Real Estate (Non-Equity Oriented and Others) – Residential Only
2. Distressed Asset Fund
• With the introduction of these sub-category level benchmarks, NSE Indices now provides fourteen subcategory level benchmarks within three broad AIF Categories
• The Nifty AIF Benchmarks have been created in line with the SEBI Guidelines, for each of the three AIF categories (Cat I, Cat II, and Cat III) based on performance data as of March 31, 2023, as received from more than 600 AIF schemes
