The Government of Ladakh on October 22, 2023, issued the Ladakh Homestay Policy 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The ‘Homestay Policy’ for the UT has been revised under the nomenclature “Ladakh Homestay Policy 2023
• The policy will be implemented outside the protected areas by the Department of Tourism, Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh, and in the “Protected Areas” by the Department of Wildlife Protection, Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh.
• The policy is applicable for 5 years with effect from the financial year 2023-24.
