Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Power (MoP) on October 26, 2023, issued a notification to specify the washing machine (with or without heating devices utilizing cold or hot water supply) for household or communal use in blocks of flats or in launderettes and similar purposes, namely: -

• Semi-Automatic;

• Top Loader;

• Front Loaders; and

for the purposes of the said Act and directs that any such appliances or class of appliances being manufactured or sold or purchased or imported for sale shall display such particulars on labels.
