The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) on October 31, 2023, issued the date on which the provisions related to the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits, and Services) Act, 2016 under the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023, shall come into force.
It has appointed November 30, 2023, as the date on which the provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023, which relates to serial number 42 and the entries thereto in the Schedule of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023, relating to the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016 (18 of 2016), shall come into force.
