The Government of Jharkhand on September 18, 2023, fixed/revised minimum rates of wages employed in the various scheduled employments.
The rates of variable dearness allowance will be based on the average of all India Consumer Price Index on which the minimum rates of wages have been fixed/revised in the scheduled employments. There will be an increase or decrease in rates of wages shown in the schedule with the rise or fall as the case may be in the aforesaid Index of the schedule employments and it will be deemed as a variable dearness allowance component.
The payment of variable dearness allowance on the basis of the average Consumer Price Index of January-June, 2023, which is 1" half of 2023, will be payable from October 01, 2023.
