Industry Specific ComplianceThe Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on October 31, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Mandatory uploading of the test reports of the samples of Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) and Vitamin-Mineral Premix for Fortified Rice Kernal on the Infolnet portal by FSSAI notified laboratories.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It is mandatory for all the FSSAI notified laboratories to share the record of observations and upload the test report on the online platform of the Food Authority.

• The FSSAI notified laboratories approved by FSSAI for testing of Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) and Vitamin-Mineral Premix for Fortified Rice Kernel are directed to mandatorily upload the test reports of the samples of Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) and Premix for FRK analysed by them on the Infolnet portal immediately after completion of the analysis on real time basis.

• All the laboratories are directed to submit monthly reports of the testing carried out by them of the samples of Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) and Premix for FRK in the format given below to FSSAI on or before 5th of every month on the email ID- [email protected].

• In case of the non-compliant samples, the laboratories are directed to submit details of the manufacturer of the non-compliant samples.

• The laboratories are also directed to keep the remnant samples of Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) and Premix for FRK for atleast three months from the date of reporting in refrigerated condition (5 to 10 °C).
