The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on October 30, 2023, issued the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Thirteenth Amendment) Order, 2023, to further amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
The following amendment has been stated:
• In Schedule VI, which states “List of plants/plant materials permitted import with additional declarations and special conditions”:
Against serial number 948, after the entries relating to (ii) Malus domestica (Apple) and (iii) Fruits for consumption, the following entries specified in the table have been inserted.
This notification will come into force on October 30, 2023.
