The Government of Assam on September 21, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Allocation Lifting, Transportation, Distribution of Commodities, and Inspection of FPS
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the Allocation of Food grains shall be based on the online transactions of food grains by FPS dealers through e-PoS devices in the previous month.
• It states that the monthly allocated quantity of foodgrains must be made available at the doorstep of FPS within the 9th day of the allocated month.
• The FPS dealer shall issue a certificate of complete delivery of foodgrains at the doorstep of FPS by the Transporter
• It states that the foodgrains must be distributed to beneficiaries through the e-PoS machines installed in the FPS through biometric authentication of beneficiaries
• The e-PoS machines will be operational only from the 10th to the 16th of every month
• The FPS dealers must issue system-generated printed receipts to the beneficiaries against each transaction done through e-PoS.
