The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on November 02, 2023, notified the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (Fourteenth Amendment) Order, 2023 further to amend the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
The following has been amended: -
•Amendment of Schedule VI. - In Schedule VI to the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003 - in serial number 497, against the entries relating to Persea Americana (Avocado) in column (2) and against the entries relating to Fresh fruits for consumption in column (3) the following entries relating thereto in columns (4), (5) and (6), shall be inserted which talks about the Country of Origin, Additional declarations required to be incorporated into Phytosanitary Certificate and Special conditions of import respectively.
It shall come into force on November 02, 2023.
