The Government of Gujarat on November 02, 2023, issued a notification regarding the benefits of the Vertical Cropping System (Mandap) Project under the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits, and Services) Act, 2016.
under the Scheme financial assistance of Rs.14,560/- through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) for the purchase of equipment required for preparation of vertical cropping structure (Pakka Mandap) in 10 guntha of land for crops (hereinafter referred to as “the benefits”) is given to the tribal farmers of tribal districts of Gujarat (Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, Dahod, Chhota udepur, Bharuch, Dang, Tapi, Surat, Narmada, Navsari, Valsad) (hereinafter referred to as “the beneficiaries”), by the Implementing Agency as per the extant Scheme guidelines.
The following has been stated: -
• It is stated that the individual eligible for the benefits under the Scheme shall be required to furnish proof of either possessing the Aadhaar number or undergo Aadhaar authentication.
• Any individual desirous of availing the benefits under the Scheme, who does not possess the Aadhaar number or, has not yet enrolled for an Aadhaar, shall be required to make an application for an Aadhaar enrolment before registering for the Scheme provided he is entitled to obtain an Aadhaar as per section 3 of the said Act, and such individuals shall visit any Aadhaar enrolment centre (UIDAI) to get enrolled for Aadhaar.
• It is stated that the Implementing Agency is required to offer Aadhaar enrolment facilities for the beneficiaries who are yet to be enrolled, and in case there is no Aadhaar enrolment centre located in the respective Block or Taluka or Tehsil, the Department through its Implementing Agency shall provide Aadhaar enrolment facilities at convenient locations in coordination with the existing Registrars of UIDAI or by becoming a UIDAI Registrar themselves: Provided that, till the Aadhaar is assigned to the beneficiary, benefits under the Scheme shall be given to such beneficiary subject to the production of the following documents, namely:-
(a) if he or she has enrolled, his or her Aadhaar Enrolment Identification slip.
(b) any one of the following documents, namely: -
o Bank or Post Office Passbook with Photo.
o Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card
o Passport.
o Ration Card;
o Voter Identity Card.
o MGNREGA Card
o Kisan Photo Pass Book.
o Driving License issued by the Licensing Authority under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (ix) Certificate of identity having a photo of such person issued by a Gazetted Officer or a Tehsildar on official letterhead.
o Any other document as specified by the Department.
