Industry Specific Compliance The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoC&I) on November 06, 2023, issued the Rubber (Amendment) Rules, 2023 to further amend the Rubber Rules, 1955.

The following amendment has been stated:

• In rule 27A, which states that “The Executive Director shall be an officer in the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India” for the words “Joint Secretary to the Government of India”, the words “Deputy Secretary to the Government of India or above” has been substituted.

This notification will come into force from November 06, 2023.
