The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on November 06, 2023, issued the National Savings Recurring Deposit (Third Amendment) Scheme, 2023 to further amend the National Savings Recurring Deposit Scheme, 2019.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In paragraph 9, which states “Repayment on maturity” in sub-paragraph (1), for TABLE 1.1, the following TABLE specified in the document has been substituted.
• In paragraph 10, which states “Accounts continued beyond maturity period” in sub-paragraph (2), in clause (a):
(a) In TABLE-1.3, for the words, figures, and letters, “on or after July 01, 2023”, the words, figures, letters, and brackets “between July 01, 2023, to September 30, 2023 (both days inclusive)” has been substituted;
(b) After TABLE-1.3, the following TABLE-1.4 has been inserted.
This notification shall be deemed to have come into force from October 01, 2023.
