The Clearing Corporation of India Ltd. (CCIL) on November 07, 2023, issued a notification regarding CLS Regulations Collateral for CLS Segment.
Please pay attention to Chapter IV, titled "Collateral," of the Continuous Linked Settlement Segment Regulations 2009, as amended in October 2023.
In replacement of the earlier notification issued on December 2, 2015, members are now informed about the updated provisions concerning Collateral for the CLS Segment.
According to Chapter IV, Clause (B) (3), all regulations related to the available balance in the Member Common Collateral (MCC) will be governed by Chapter VA of the Rules of the Clearing Corporation. However, when the amount used from the available balances in MCC is allocated to the CLS Segment, the cash component requirement will remain at NIL.
This notification will come into effect on November 27, 2023.
