The Pollution Control Board, Assam (PCBA) on October 26, 2023, issued a notification regarding the processing of the Consent/Authorization application form in the OCMMS Portal.
The following has been stated namely: -
• All the industries in the State are required to be brought under the consent mechanism of the Board to implement pollution control measures and also to generate revenue for the Board.
• Many industries are being operated without valid CTO and such units may be asked to regularize the CTO after paying the CTO fee and fine.
• All ROs are also directed to make a lot of success stories or activities, which resulted in an increase in revenue generation and effective implementation of Pollution Control norms in the State besides performing regular processing of the application in the OCMMS portal Starting with November 16, 2023, all the ROS shall submit action taken report fortnightly (1 and 16 of every month).
This shall come into effect from October 26, 2023.
