The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on November 08, 2023, issued a notification regarding allowing advance assessment of Courier Shipping Bills
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has been decided to provide for advance assessment of Courier Shipping Bills on the Express Cargo Clearance System (ECCS).
• It has confirmed the enabling of appropriate technical changes in the ECCS export workflow for this purpose.
• It states that Advisory No. 11/SYS/WZU/2023 dated October 19, 2023, has also been issued by DG (Systems) to further enhance the ease of doing business and has been attached for reference
• It further states the field formations are requested to issue suitable Public Notice etc. for guidance.
