The Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai (DGS) on November 14, 2023, issued a notification regarding the Implementation of MARPOL Annex VI: Consolidation of all DGS Order/MS Notices/ Circulars and Amendments to MARPOL Annex VI.
Recognizing also that since then the Directorate has issued a number of MS Notices and Circulars related to the implementation of the same as detailed below:
i.Implementation of NOx Limits to Indian Ships: Engineering Circular 98 dated 25.11.2008.
ii.Mandatory Sulphur Content of Fuel Oil used on Ships: Engineering Circular 99 of 2008 dated 25.11.2008.
iii.Approved standard formats for Ozone Depleting Substances Record Book vide Engineering Circular 133 dated 17.03.2011.
iv.Application of NOx Certification Requirements on RSV Type III & IV vide Engineering Circular 137 dated 18.08.2011. The provisions of Paragraph 13 of this MSN shall now apply to this circular as applicable.
v.Compliance to MARPOL Annex VI after accession by India on 23 February 2012 vide Engineering Circular 1 of 2012 dated 30 January 2012.
