The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) on November 10, 2023, issued a notification regarding the enforcement date for the provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023.
The following has been stated: -
•In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 1 of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2023, the Central Government appointed November 15, 2023, as the date on which the provisions of the said Act, in so far as it relates to serial number 4 and the entries relating thereto in the schedule to the said Act, relating to the Indian Forest Act, 1927, shall come into force.
