The Government of Assam on November 02, 2023, issued a notification regarding the List of Holidays for the Year 2024.
The following has been stated:
• It has declared the list of holidays for the year 2024 that shall be observed in the state as specified in the table.
• These Holidays will not be automatically applicable to Educational Institutions, Medical/Engineering Colleges unless they adopt the list but it is desirable that the number of holidays may be decreased for Educational Institutions, Medical/Engineering Colleges, etc. and they will adopt academic calendars decreasing the number of holidays.
