The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) on November 17, 2023, issued the Draft National Nursing and Midwifery Commission (Manner of Appointment and Nomination of Members, Secretary and Members of Autonomous Boards, their Salary, Allowances and Terms and Conditions of Service, and Declaration of Assets, Professional and Commercial Engagements) Rules, 2023.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The Qualifications and Experience of a Nursing and Midwifery Leader have been stated in the notification.
• The Manner of nominating and appointing of Members of the Commission has been stated in the rules.
• The Qualification, experience, and manner of selection of the Member of the Commission has been stated.
• The Declaration of assets, professional and commercial engagement, or involvement by the Chairperson and Members of the Commission.
• The Schedule has the following forms attached namely: -
1. Form A – Declaration of Assets and Liabilities
2. Form B – Statement of Professional and Commercial.
