Industry Specific ComplianceThe Directorate of Education, Delhi on November 23, 2023, issued a notification regarding the mandatory 220 Working Days in an Academic Year in the School

The following has been stated namely: -

• It has mandated that all the schools under the Directorate of Education, Delhi, shall observe a minimum of 220 working days in an academic year, as notified Gazetted/Restricted/Local Holidays. 

• It states that the Government Aided Schools shall also ensure completion of 220 working days before the academic year and holiday observance.

• It states that all the DDEs (Zone) are also advised to ensure strict compliance with the same before sanctioning the Restricted/Local Holidays to any school under their jurisdiction

• It further states that all Un-Aided Recognized Schools would also obtain approval for Holidays from their respective management. It will be the sole responsibility of the school management to ensure that the schools under their jurisdiction observe a minimum of 220 working days in an Academic Year.
