Labour Compliance The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoL&E) on November 23, 2023, issued the notification to declare the industry of transport (other than railways) for the carriage of passengers or goods, by land or water to be a public utility service.

The following has been stated namely: -

• The industry of transport (other than railways) for the carriage of passengers or goods, by land or water is declared to be a public utility service.

• This is for a period of six months with effect from November 25, 2023.
