The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoL&E) on November 25, 2023, notified regarding the enforcement of the provisions related to Contributions, Benefits, and Claims under the Employee State Insurance Act, 1948 in the Kandhamal district of Odisha
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has appointed December 01, 2023, as the date on which the following provisions shall come into force: —
(i) sections 38 to 43 and section 45A to section 45H of Chapter IV which specify provisions related to Contribution
(ii) sections 46 to 73 of Chapter V that specifies provisions related to Benefits,
(iii) sections 74, 75, sub-sections (2) to (4) of sections 76, 80, 82, and section 83 of Chapter VI which specifies provisions related to Claims in all areas of the Kandhamal district in the State of Odisha.
