The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) on November 23, 2023, issued a notification seeking comments/inputs on the draft guidelines with respect to Support Persons under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The following has been stated:
• The Hon'ble Supreme Court has directed the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) to formulate Model Guidelines with respect to Support Persons under Section 39, which states “Guidelines for the child to take the assistance of experts, etc.” of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in consultation with the State Governments and Union Territories.
• It has stated that the Suggestions are invited by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) from the public on the draft guidelines on or before November 30, 2023, at e-mail id: [email protected].
