The Labour Department, Tripura on November 27, 2023, issued the revised Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA) for Safai Karmachari
The following has been stated namely: -
• This is based on the 6-monthly average Consumer Price Index numbers for the period commencing from January 01, 2023, to June 30, 2023.
• The half-yearly average Consumer Price Index is 115 point for different categories of workers engaged in the employment of “Safai Karmachari” in Tripura.
• The VDA shall be payable with effect from October 01, 2023.
• The following is the Total Minimum rates of wages:
Safai Karmachari – Rs. 6.04 (Present VDA) – Rs. 313.00 per day (Minimum wage)
